obtained from www.driverzone.com. Catechumen requires
DirectX 7.0 or higher to play!
Q: I have a Mac. Can I play Catechumen?
A: Unfortunately there is not a Mac version of Catechumen
available at this time, although a Mac version is being considered.
Q: I get the message: 'Error in geEngine Begin_Frame' What can I
do?
A: This is an internal error in the genesis engine that has been
resolved in newer versions of Catechumen. Download the latest Demo/Patch
Q: I put the CD in the drive, and nothing happened.
A: Some computers do not support CD autorun features. To manually
install the program, click on Start, go to Settings, then Control Panel. Double
click on Add/Remove Programs. On the install/uninstall tab Click on the
Install button. On the following window click next, then on the
final
window click on Finish, this will start the installation Program.
Q: My system crashes after the Genesis Logo is displayed.
A: This has been resolved in current versions of Catechumen.
Download the latest Demo/Patch and download the
latest drivers for your video card.
Q: After re-booting the game, my screen size is small.
A: This has been fixed in the latest Demo/Patch
Q: Catechumen causes an Illegal Operation or an IPF In Module
Unknown 0000:007e 0249.
A: Most likely, you need to upgrade your video card drivers
and/or your version of DirectX.
Q: I receive a 'DLL Error . . . Voodoo Graphics Expected not
found'.
A: Most likely, you need to upgrade your video card drivers
and/or your version of DirectX. If that fails to resolve the issue, set
your video mode to 'Software' in the menu.
Q: I tried to load Catechumen, but my computer froze.
A: Make sure that no other programs are running on your computer.
Check to ensure that your system has 64MB of RAM and a 3D accelerator,
and meets all other specified minimum requirements.
Q: I'm trying to play the game with my ATI Rage Pro card, and I
get black faces all throughout the game.
A: ATI Rage Pro chipsets have incompatibility issues with
Direct3D, something which ATI is working to resolve. Check to see if
their drivers have fixed the problem, otherwise play Catechumen in
Software mode.
Q: I get flashing colors on my screen when I play Catechumen.
A: Flashing colors in the levels occur when your video card is
trying to exceed it's abilities to draw. This is usually due to
insufficient video memory, consider upgrading your computer's video card. |
