Q: I am having problems after I install the game. It just freezes
at the Genesis 3D screen.
A: This is easy to fix! Just go to the "Program Compatibility
Wizard" in your accessories menu. Using that tool, just set the game to
run in the "Windows 98" mode. It should run great after that!
Q: I am having problems hearing music in the game.
A: This is a known issue and has been fixed in the latest patch which can be downloaded from Here.
Q: Why don’t I see the intro and outro movies?
A: Make sure you have installed the Div-X codec (included on the game CD) If you are running Windows ME, you will need to download the latest patch.
Q: Why can’t I see the menu text when I am running in Software Mode?
A: This has been fixed with the latest patch.
Q: I get stuck when spanning levels in the Scotland area, what can I do?
A: This has also been fixed with the latest patch.
Q: When I go underwater, the screen turns blue and I can’t see anything.
A: Download the latest patch. That will add an option in the video menu to disable screen effects.
Q: I don’t like the way the camera bobs around in the game.
A: Download the latest patch. That will add an option in the video menu to disable camera bobbing.

Q: I have a Mac, can I play Ominous Horizons?
A: Unfortunately, there is not a Mac or Linux version of Ominous Horizons at this time.
Q: I installed Ominous Horizons, but when I go to play, the screen turns black and it kicks me out to Windows.
A: A: There are a few things you can do to solve this problem.
1. Download the latest patch.
2. Update your video/sound card drivers.
3. Close out all programs running in the background. (anti-virus, etc.)
4. Make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements.
Q: I put the CD in the drive, but nothing happens.
A: Some computers do not support CD autorun features. To manually install the program, click on Start go to Settings Control Panel. Double click on Add/Remove Programs. On the install/uninstall tab Click on the Install button, on the next window click next, then on the proceeding window click on Finish, this will start the installation Program.
