Mayan Temple:
This area requires the most thinking, since it is loaded with
puzzles. After finding the angel and armor, enter the temple. The gear
puzzle is difficult, write down the switches and which gears they move.
Once solved, the mini temple moves aside, revealing a hidden exit. In
the next room, shoot the ropes one at a time or you'll soon be covered
in monsters and spiders. The sliding tile puzzle isn't that hard, be
patient and think logically! You've made it to the big room with the
book piece at the bottom. You'll find this isn't the real book piece and
the Mayan serpent is released upon you. Keep notching up 5 holy arrows
and hit him at close range. Use your newly found staff ammo as well.
There are plenty of scrolls in this room and once the serpent is beaten,
a portal will open taking you to the observatory. Climb the ladder of
the observatory and you'll find the final puzzle. Hit the switch to
activate the crystal laser and line the crystals up to open the pillar
in the center. Once the book piece is in hand, the portal down below
becomes active.
Haunted House:
This is probably the most difficult level, since those pesky little
druids do so much damage. Watch out for the witches, they cast slow
spells and confusion spells. Take them down quickly before they summon
critters as well! This area is loaded with secrets, and you should find
the way to the basement and destroy the evil altar to gain access to
loads of ammo. Finding the portal to Stonehenge is simple, but don't
forget the Angel upgrade and armor before heading there. You'll soon
find the Greater Druid waiting for you in Stonehenge. Duck around stone
to avoid his lightning attack. This guy takes a ton of damage, so you'd
better have plenty of ammo to fight him with. After banishing him, the
force field drops and you can exit back to the church. Back in the
church, that little nemesis will tell you his story and give you a belt.
The belt will reveal the locations of secrets you've missed in prior
levels. Go back to those levels if you've missed any of the armor or
Angel upgrades. You'll need everything to defeat Satan. The Priest will
now tell you of stashes of goodies spread around town. Take the keys and
open 3 cabinets in the village to get the goodies.
Satan's Lair
Hopefully, you've found all the armor and all the weapon upgrades
and have taken the keys from the Priest and raided the cabinets. In the
lava tunnels, you'll find Satan in his lower form. He's tough but can be
defeated. Slow him with 'freeze' arrows and keep pounding him. Once he's
almost down, he'll take off to his castle and it will rise from the
lava. Follow him into the castle and face the evil inside. In the first
level, spin three wheels in the proper order to activate the lava
elevator in the dragons mouth. In the next level, you'll find an eyeball
target you have to shoot to shut down the fans. Hurry back to the lava
elevator after hitting the switch behind the fans. Keep working your way
up in levels til you get to the top of the castle. Once there, you'll
find Satan in his final form and he is tough. Kill all the demons guys
on the way up or they'll follow you to the top where you'll have to face
them at the same time you're fighting Satan. Satan has a few tricks up
is sleeve so be careful. Save just before fighting him because it may
take you a few tries. Once he's defeated, hurry to the top of the last
tower, find the book piece and exit to the church.
Congratulations! You've recovered Guttenberg's Bible and defeated the
forces of evil. Now the word of God can be heard by all!
